A drift car itself is a neverending project, as there is always something you can work on - fixing, optimizing, exchanging parts...
With the Foxbody Mustangs we are having two exotic drift cars here in Germany, where getting parts sometimes requires a lot of patience, as long as there are parts out there to be found. As for specific parts, they just don't exsist for this car. So what do you do, if the needed parts do not exsist?
You can't buy it? - You build it!
The 3D printing technology helped us several times to get the cars equipped with non-exsisting parts. Sometimes using the 3D printed parts as car parts, sometimes using them as templates for cnc-milling or as negative forms for carbonfiber parts. There are numerous options to use the 3D printing technology!
Here you can find some of the 3D printing projects we have been working on to optimize the cars.
There are steering angle kits out there for the Foxbody Mustang, but none that would give the car reliable 65° angle on both sides with our desired alignment specifications.
